I'm going to implement a very easy way for any Feedburner user to add this as Feedflare for their feeds without any coding or file savvyness on their parts. I'll feed it here when I've finished. (Can I just say feed a few more times? feed feed!)

    I'll wait for this...

I saw this on your RSS feed the other day and thought to myself, "that's pretty sweet" -- thanks for sharing!

I don't think I've seen FeedFlare in action. Where can I see a demo?

Thanks for cleaning this up and pushing it out, Louis!

Thanks for letting me finally get the code, Kevin! Happy to distribute and was looking forward to sharing.

I wish it was just a checkbox I could check on the FeedBurner website.
  • Louis Gray · 8 months ago
Sarah, I can talk to the FeedBlitz guys about making it a checkbox. But FeedBurner isn't doing much of anything...

feeding frenzy. there, i said it.

Thanks for this! I've followed Louis' instructions but when I try to add the Personal FeedFlare it tells me it cannot find a valid FeedFlare file at that location. Location is correct (http://www.e-lusion.co.uk/flare.php) and I've made the changes. :-(

Louis you are just the best.

    Have you covered this yet?

@Kol, can you retry by pointing FeedBurner to the location of the XML file? I could have messed up the instructions.
  • Kol Tregaskes · 8 months ago
Louis, yep that works, perhaps change the instructions?

I finally got this working. I had to do two things: 1) Clean up some missing white space in the flare.php and XML files (no idea where that went). 2) Point to the XML file. Thanks a ton, Louis!

Thanks Kol and Daniel. I updated the post, and the file as part of the .zip archive.

    Thanks, Louis.

This announcement inspired me to finish the friendfeedflare I'd been muddling on. I wrote up a description at http://codingrelic.geekhold.com/2009/04/more-go... It runs on the Google App Engine.

Cool just loaded it up, see how it works. I am using wordpress, that is where all this gets interesting. :-)
