I was delighted to see that Friendfeed introduced this model, however if you don't segment your followers into lists (like me), the stream of updates is endless, it never stops :) I still prefer using Twhirl ahead of this FF notification desktop app, but if I decided to filter my users into lists it would be very useful.

Louis, how do you compare this to the Friendfeed - IM integration? my feeling is that IM is more powerful because of the commands which allow you to comment and like posts directly.
