Reminded me of the ouroborus ;)

Re: Seesmic's Web Offering Is the Best Twitter Browser Interface Yet

I dumped Seesmic desktop and Tweetdeck for the exact reason that they hogged memory. I went to the web based Peoplebrowsr and enjoyed the benefits of being able to maintain all the same groups and settings on any computer anywhere. Seesmic in the browser is a good move and I will try it out today.

Does anyone have any thoughts on how Seesmic compares with Peoplebrowsr?

Re: Seesmic's Web Offering Is the Best Twitter Browser Interface Yet

I really liked it. But I do think I shall wait for the multiple accounts support before coming back and trying it again. Thats the tipping point feature for me. I can't find how to load multiple accounts as you can in the desktop version, and I couldn't get the third column to load as you have it. What am I mssing? And what happened to the Facebook integration that was on the desktop version?

Oops, Yama. I should have read through all the comments first. Nevertheless. much as I'd love to use the browser version (I hate AIR and could run it with FLuid, couldn't I?) I have to wait for Facebook, FF, and multiple account integration.

Re: Seesmic's Web Offering Is the Best Twitter Browser Interface Yet

Louis said: "Seesmic has done more than just clone its Desktop version in the browser. The new service has a new feature that collapses updates into a single line, looking like the headline-only version of Gmail or Google Reader, essentially letting you see more updates than ever before in one place." Isn't it obvious that Friendfeed should provide an option for something like this?

Re: Seesmic's Web Offering Is the Best Twitter Browser Interface Yet

Lateral scrolling in Seesmic Web feels very slow compared to Peoplebrowsr.

Re: Seesmic's Web Offering Is the Best Twitter Browser Interface Yet

I have to agree with your thoughts here. I've replied to some of the comments, but just wanted to say that we're also listening to feedback from our feedback form http://feedback.seesmic.com... and you can also ask for @askseesmic on twitter. We're really excited at the way this has turned out, and Loic has a lot of other things in store. Loic's vision is to support that, but he tendency is to send out something in it's earliest form that is of quality, and listen to you and the rest of the users - hence, the "preview" version of Seesmic Web. We'll be iterating as fast as we can and releasing some of the features you'll be benefitting from. Listen, Learn, Adapt and Excute - we'll try our best!

Re: Seesmic's Web Offering Is the Best Twitter Browser Interface Yet

Keith, This is Yama, community evangelist for Seesmic. Sync'ing is something we'll be working on. If anything, the saved searches will sync to your twitter account - save (or delete) your saved search on seesmic web, and check out your saved searches on twitter - and vice versa. Thanks!

Re: Seesmic's Web Offering Is the Best Twitter Browser Interface Yet

And I thought that TweetDeck is the best. Since most of us live in the browser anyway, I don't know why anyone would mind to leave a Seesmic tab open all the time or use it for heavy Tweeting action and just post updates from other apps like Digsby.

Re: Seesmic's Web Offering Is the Best Twitter Browser Interface Yet

I really liked the web interface. The only problem is that I could not post anything while on a eeePC 701 (7" inch screen), the update button was off to the right where I could not click it, other than that, I'll be using it all the time..
