Friendfeed is also my killer twitter app, besides being my killer social app. I don't view facebook through friendfeed, may have to check the seismic web version thanks to your positive review Louis.

I dumped Seesmic desktop and Tweetdeck for the exact reason that they hogged memory. I went to the web based Peoplebrowsr and enjoyed the benefits of being able to maintain all the same groups and settings on any computer anywhere. Seesmic in the browser is a good move and I will try it out today.

Does anyone have any thoughts on how Seesmic compares with Peoplebrowsr?

I really liked it. But I do think I shall wait for the multiple accounts support before coming back and trying it again. Thats the tipping point feature for me. Otherwise looks really gr8.

I'm trying it now. I can't find how to load multiple accounts as you can in the desktop version, and I couldn't get the third column to load as you have it. What am I mssing? And what happened to the Facebook integration that was on the desktop version?

Oops, Yama. I should have read through all the comments first. Nevertheless. much as I'd love to use the browser version (I hate AIR and could run it with FLuid, couldn't I?) I have to wait for Facebook, FF, and multiple account integration.

I like it a lot. I'm just bummed it doesn't do anything with favorites. I use favorites as my bookmarks as I scan, and I can't seem to access them at all from the Seesmic web app.

Will have to try it out though about the taking over of the whole screen why not Use Ubuntu or a Linux variant that offers multiple workspaces, that way if it takes up a whole workspace it would not matter because you can have other processes running in other windows, or try #Prism, however you approach it.

Loic's vision is to support that, but he tendency is to send out something in it's earliest form that is of quality, and listen to you and the rest of the users - hence, the "preview" version of Seesmic Web. Keith, This is Yama, community evangelist for Seesmic. Sync'ing is something we'll be working on. If anything, the saved searches will sync to your twitter account - save (or delete) your saved search on seesmic web, and check out your saved searches on twitter - and vice versa. Thanks!

Loving the Web app...specially since I don't need to use Air anymore. Since most of us live in the browser anyway, I don't know why anyone would mind to leave a Seesmic tab open all the time or use it for heavy Tweeting action and just post updates from other apps like Digsby.

I really liked the web interface. The only problem is that I could not post anything while on a eeePC 701 (7" inch screen), the update button was off to the right where I could not click it, other than that, I'll be using it all the time..
