John E. Bredehoft (Empoprises) · 6 months agoPerhaps the biggest change since your college years (and since my post-college years; my first employer in the 1980s eventually shifted to writing Macintosh educational software) is exemplified by the name change of the company, from Apple Computer to Apple. The computer that was advertised as being for "the rest of us" still addressed a relatively small portion of the population; today's Apple, producer of smaller, cheaper entertainment devices, addresses a larger portion which may not be as technologically-oriented as the 20th century group.

Philscbx · 6 months agoI'm simply glad I have invested in the product 4 years ago from a simple Apple PowerBook, to finally a MacPro 08 version. I don't own the iPhone. Maybe down the road, but the hype fazes me the least. I have maybe $8k invested. I didn't need to get therapy from being obsessed with the platform, but simply pleased it serves the mission. You can visit Apple Discussions to see it's not perfect. I have issues as well, but they are minimized in comparison to the other platform. I feel I have saved $37k by not having to get therapy from the constant battles dealing with my now dead PC tower and laptop. It's no different than driving coast to coast. It only matters how smoothly you got there.
