I too am eager to see what Google has up their sleeve, and what this will mean for mobile devices, netbooks and core operating systems. I think the iPhone trumps the Android platform, but I want to see this Chrome OS. Chrome is all I use when on Windows.

Re: http://blog.louisgray.com/2009/07/google-says-yes-to-launching-os-based.html

I don't think it hits Microsoft much now. Their goal is netbooks at first. But I have learned to not underestimate Google. They can change the game, and they have incredible resources.

Re: http://blog.louisgray.com/2009/07/google-says-yes-to-launching-os-based.html

I wouldn't say I was first. The New York Times has an article, as does Ars Technica. Also, I trailed the official post. Now, if I broke this and Google didn't have their post up, that might be pretty cool.

Re: http://blog.louisgray.com/2009/07/google-says-yes-to-launching-os-based.html

It's really a breakthrough from Google this announcement. Google has the pockets and the talent to make something even greater than Ubuntu is (which Google confessed a time ago it used on it's computers).
We saw through Android a very nice interface, something better than Windows Mobile, but to some people worse than WebOS and iPhone OS. Still, everyone agrees on the great job done and the capability of the operating system.
I'm highly anxious for what the result will be.

Re: http://blog.louisgray.com/2009/07/google-says-yes-to-launching-os-based.html

Do you think this could blow Microsoft and even Ubuntu out of the OS waters?

Re: http://blog.louisgray.com/2009/07/google-says-yes-to-launching-os-based.html

Yo Google, bring it on!

Re: http://blog.louisgray.com/2009/07/google-says-yes-to-launching-os-based.html

Sounds like webOS

Re: http://blog.louisgray.com/2009/07/google-says-yes-to-launching-os-based.html

Did you omit OS X for any specific reason Outsanity?

Re: http://blog.louisgray.com/2009/07/google-says-yes-to-launching-os-based.html

Louis (the robot) is first with this news.
