Agree, you should try to respond it if you can. On my site we have international users and started getting contact emails in other languages and used Google Translator to try to respond. I also added in my response that I apologize if the translation is a bit unclear.

The 'translate' feature of Ubiquity is ideal for webpages with mixed languages.
