I followed your lead and have set my lists up accordingly. It would be nice if the Home list was treated like every other list. Would be nice to me able to remove people in bulk.

Re: louisgray.com: With FriendFeed Lists, I Start to Organize the Noise

Useful stuff, thanks for posting what you do and think of FriendFeed's lists. Now I need to absorb it.

Re: louisgray.com: With FriendFeed Lists, I Start to Organize the Noise

Thanks for the explanation Louis, it is something I glossed over yet it makes FriendFeed usable for us normal folk.

Re: louisgray.com: With FriendFeed Lists, I Start to Organize the Noise

Thanks for your help. I ended up doing a search in the FriendFeed Beta room and found the info I needed. I discovered that you can do the mouseover thing, or you can also click on your friend's name and you get the Add/Edit link there too. You just can't do it from the Home Feed. You have to do it to each friend individually.

Re: louisgray.com: With FriendFeed Lists, I Start to Organize the Noise

John, if you do a mouse-over on any name in FriendFeed (on the beta)
you can see they are part of your "home feed". Click "Add/Edit" and
you get a small pop-up that shows the lists they are in, with
checkboxes. Uncheck "home feed" and check the list where you want
them, and you're all set.

Re: louisgray.com: With FriendFeed Lists, I Start to Organize the Noise

I can't figure out how to remove people from my home feed and still have them in my other lists. The home feed doesn't have the buttons at the top to add/remove friends. Is there something I'm missing?

Re: louisgray.com: With FriendFeed Lists, I Start to Organize the Noise

Very good information. The traditional "A-List" is for those people who are very well known, have huge followings and engagement. Taking them out of the main feed makes it more likely for others producing great content, as you are, to be visible.

But if you want to send cupcakes, I'll send you my home address.

Re: louisgray.com: With FriendFeed Lists, I Start to Organize the Noise

What I want to know is how many cupcakes will it take for me to get into Louis's A-list list.

Re: louisgray.com: With FriendFeed Lists, I Start to Organize the Noise

How many cupcakes will it take to bribe you to organize my feed for me?

Daniel J. Honestly I was trying to figure out how to use these shiny new tools. So throw everyone on the back page and sort accordingly...I like it. An interesting side effect to this is that now you probably spend even more time on FF because it's easier to digest at your own pace, mission accomplished guys *tips hat*...

Re: louisgray.com: With FriendFeed Lists, I Start to Organize the Noise

looks like a great system.
