Yeah, although I read techmeme daily (if not hourly) I think it is subtly shifting towards mainstream media news sources and the "A-list" blogs. It's not really as much a place to discover new blogs anymore.

The kicker is although my blog occasionally shows up on it, they don't drive as much traffic to me as Google or even Stumble Upon.

Starting to check out Megite more, and Tailrank is another aggregator I'm keeping my eye on.

Yeah. Life is so unfair. Not only was Reader down yesterday but my ISP (Bluehost) was totally screwed too.

I broke the story first but no-one (TechMeme, BBC, CNN, Scoble, my wife) listened or gave a damn.

Agree - part of issue is Techmeme uses the blog site as the "atom", not the blog post. Harder to get to post level granularity but the quality of the individual post is what we ultimately care about so I think/hope it will happen eventually.
