But would they be able to create the Google adsense for the conversation. For sure the next challenge of the web for marketers, and a huge business field.

Re: louisgray.com: Twitter Implements Threaded Comments, Sort Of

YooPlace also has added "in_reply_to_status_id" ... http://yooplace.com/17lv

Re: louisgray.com: Twitter Implements Threaded Comments, Sort Of

Sweet Evan! It will be interesting to watch.

Re: louisgray.com: Twitter Implements Threaded Comments, Sort Of

It's a very good news. The feature has been pending for a long time as it was already present in the API but not working.

Re: louisgray.com: Twitter Implements Threaded Comments, Sort Of

It works on identi.ca, now, too.

Re: louisgray.com: Twitter Implements Threaded Comments, Sort Of

About time! Though I guess we have to wait to see if they actually do threads ...

Re: louisgray.com: Twitter Implements Threaded Comments, Sort Of

Louis, the API feature is definitely new, but "threaded" replies is technically in their database somewhere. On a get request, you can see that a given tweet was a response to another tweet in the API results. Enabling through the API is a really good addition though. I am speculating here, but eliminating the need to use "@" could mean that they are looking into federated/distributed updates similar to an email address. That would be huge.
