I'll let Caleb pronounce Toluu. I give it a "Tuh - loo" sound. I think he goes for "Toe - loo" or "Two - loo".

Toluu and FriendFeed are very different. Toluu is a place to upload your OPML file, and find out other friends who have similar feeds. FriendFeed is a Web activities aggregator and conversation platform.

for the truly dumb, such as myself, what is the difference between toluu and friendfeed? and, even, how do i pronounce toluu? so far i haven't needed a hide button, i have hidden the entire category of service called, whatever these things are? i guess, sources for news about the news of what other people think is the news.

clearly must-haves. only i don't have any friends. so my news is only what is news to me. i twittered myself once. the lights went out. but that could be because i am in bangalore. hmmm.

Louis, thanks for the great post! I am really excited to see how these new filters help people discover new and interesting feeds and people they may have missed due to the volume of new activity on the site.

And as you point out, we are already working on the next new thing!
