I'm all about the laptop and Excel. It's the way to go. Sounds like you have a good system.

Many people just don't break down the hard data. The only problem I ever have with it is how it doesn't take into account when a player changes teams or starts a rookie. I have to go with my gut on some guys based on trends from the previous seasons and my own research.

Re: louisgray.com: The Even Geekier Approach to Fantasy Football

wish I saw this a week ago.

Re: louisgray.com: The Even Geekier Approach to Fantasy Football

Let's take Geek one step further and while you mention Roger Craig, check out his blog on Fantasy Football where he introduces a business intelligence tool (Spotfire) loaded with 3 years of fantasy stats to do some extra slicing and dicing.

Here's a link to his blog.
http://rogercraigfflrush.bl...

Re: louisgray.com: The Even Geekier Approach to Fantasy Football

Yes, Drew. Joe Montana and Jerry Rice are still in the league. You should get them before anybody else. Could make your draft!

Re: louisgray.com: The Even Geekier Approach to Fantasy Football

I'm stoked.
