They do not have to be bloggers, just people willing to participate and have something interesting to say.

Would you have self-promotion tips for someone managing a company blog or for people who blog about their company (with consent of the firm)?

Re: louisgray.com: Sharing, Self Promotion Always a Two-Way Street

Wonderful post Mike -

There is a line between too much self promotion and enough self promotion. I run two sites, one focused on Real Estate Investing (http://www.resuccesslink.com ) and one focused on Network Marketing (http://www.networkingprospe... ) on both sites the days I get more traffic is when I highlight the posts from others that I have read for the week.

Thanks again for sharing

Re: louisgray.com: Sharing, Self Promotion Always a Two-Way Street

GREAT job Mike! Thanks for being so helpful. THIS is what makes SM so successful!

Re: louisgray.com: Sharing, Self Promotion Always a Two-Way Street

I completely agree. My blog set a one day traffic record today, because I posted a list of my favorite blogs. I did nothing but promote 50 other people. What fun.

Next I need to see if some of these folks will consider guest blogging for me. It is all about the community. and much more interesting when you share

Re: louisgray.com: Sharing, Self Promotion Always a Two-Way Street

Fantastic post Mike! As a beginner myself, I have been struggling with the line of too much self-promotion and have stayed on the safe side for the most part so far.

Also, it's hard to know when/if the people you are trying to support notice. Not that it really matters, but it is nice to know that they realize. On that note, thanks for all your support Mike!
