Can Google Analytics not do something similar in terms of history? I'm only just rediscovering it now but I've been really impressed with the ability to break down posts by day or the historical data.

Interesting figures though: Readburner in particular.

I had Google Analytics on here at some time in the past, but I broke it somewhere, and I'd have to go back from scratch to get it going again. On the work account, we use Google Analytics, and it's great for showing sources, as well as history, but not so much as far as where they went to if they left the site, so far as I can tell.

It never ceases to amaze me how pop culture references tower over topics that you and I are so passionate about. Clearly in mixed company the "Home of the Best Simpsons Episode competition" is the preferable conversation starter to obscure references to Web 2.0 technologies.

Kind of puts our little world into perspective.

I once wrote about a site called allsimps.com that had every Simpsons episode online in Flash for free. Soon after, unsurprisingly, it got yanked down. But that page still does very well on Google Searches, and everybody thinks they've found the Holy Grail... D'oh!
