Mr. Gray - I have come to rely on your site for relevant information on the latest trends in microblogging. lifesteaming and Internet emerging technologies. It is a true testament to register.com, blogger and 'your team' that your site was still here today when so many others ... ugh .. just seemed to Plucker out.

Thank you, your suppliers, and of course, the entire backbone of the internet, for you consistent uptime.

    Sincerely
    Charles Anzman

Bravo Louis! But did you account for links to your site? :)

Oh no... you promised uptime for future events in paragraph-the-last-one!! :( Nothing good can come of this... it's an ode called "Remembering Twitter".

lol... hilarious post Louis! I had not realized that TC went down... I was watching on MacRumorsLive... Though MG did a rockin' job on his friendfeed room I couldn't lock the view to keep the most recently posted items at the top so it got really frustrating. For live event broadcasting: friendfeed = not so much. Now if they had a "[_] show in reverse chronological order of posts regardless of comments/likes." option (which would then allow for a sane "auto-refresh" of the page) then we'd talking super-duper for live event stuff. ;)

i didn't know you made funny posts Louis - was this blog hacked? :-P

if i didn't like you i would say something like "maybe you should try more of this in the future!"

Allen, on rare occasions you can see my dry, sarcastic, side come out. Maybe I could do it more. But overdoing it can be just as bad as underdoing it.

Too funny. Congratulations for your foresight, Louis, and for not adding to the noise. Now, you can blog safely about your thoughts on the event and share with us your hindsights ;)

Louisgray.com taking scalability to new levels.
  • Carsten Pötter · 1 year ago
TechCrunch buckled under the pressure? It was unavailable? Hell, even Arrington can't scale a service. Web 2.0 is in trouble, folks!

It's a good thing Scoble didn't know about this. You may have gone down and then it would have been all his fault.

Louis, remember to hit Twitter the next time they're changing CTO - you would be a solid candidate I bet ;)
