Another aggregator! I like FriendFeed's UI better. But seeding seems like a good idea.

I've asked some questions aloud over here about whether or not seeding services with A-Listers is in any way misleading--I'd love to know your thoughts.

Is that a common practice?

Brittney, that's correct. The service was seeded with some prominent folks through Silicon Valley and the blogosphere. That's how I first started seeing Adam's work near the end of 2007, when he started pulling my feeds.

It appears that Robert Scoble did not set up his LinkRiver himself. This is from the right-hand side of the link you gave to "his" account:

"Is This You?
We like your link blog so we set you up on LinkRiver. Send an email at adam AT linkriver DOT com and we'll turn the account over to you."

So, LinkRiver set up an account for a prominent blogger? Interesting move!
