However, they are making great strides in functionality. If the noise is getting too loud, start adjusting the noise volume. Those adjustments are not perfect, but they definitely help. As a content producer, social median will not help you greatly yet, and that is not really the target for them. It is really about finding relevant content. Please remember that socialmedian is but an infant compared to the toddlers (friendfeed), children (twitter), young adults (Facebook), and grownups (digg) you mention. We've only been at this a few months and just opened the site up for anyone to join just a few weeks ago -- in the dead of august btw. The integration of new features just doesn't feel intuitive to me. I probably check the site once a day and have been a member for at least four months. The new features just don't immediately jump out as incredibly usable for me because of that. Twitter is integrated? Great. I still haven't figured out if my tweets are there and why I should care.</p><p>You can see who is clipped? And it looks like Digg in that you can see how many people did that and comment on that? That might be great but if you're putting your own content in or you want to draw attention to something you think is important... but unless you're writing about social media, good luck. I've gotten three visits from the site in the past three months. The notifications I get don't include entertainment news, sports news, etc. Doesn't seem very promising there.</p><p>If the system is automatically supposed to submit content to similar communities, the Mad Men twitter saga, which was covered in the Social News section, should have ended up in the fandom section... so it isn't clear how that works and I'm not overly positive.</p><p>I keep watching SocialMedian, waiting for something exciting to happen... waiting for any mass adoption... waiting for the interface to get to the point where it can attract a wider audience in terms of usability... and nope. Not seeing it.
