louisgray.com: louisgray.com: iGoogle Integration Kills Need to Go to Google Reader

It's nice but there is a huge missing link. Google Reader requires a Google account. I use iGoogle with my Google Apps for your Domain account. I assume that eventually my iGoogle for my domain page will get the new canvas view but Reader still won't let me use my Google Apps account.

I wish my Google Apps accounts could be used everywhere a regular Google account can.

You can't share with note from the Google Reader Gadget on iGoogle.... Big miss.

I don't identify design as being the main factor that drives mainstream users away from rss.

You need to have a different mindset to browse news through rss, it's not the same mentality, and I am not sure creating a newsvine like interface will change anything.

I even suspect that if you do you are not a writer/blogger, rss has no incentives whatsoever.

dont know if you noticed that the google reader interface still needs a little clean up. I couldnt find the option to add comments while sharing through igoogle, the number of unread articles on top didnt reduce as i went down. I had to refresh the browser but for some reason it still showed the same read articles on my reader feed...wonder why..? maybe thats why its still in beta haan.....

Google Reader and iGoogle still aren't perfect, but even in my looking
at many different RSS readers, including those with better social
functions, there hasn't been a better solution yet. Google won't be
giving Reader the financial backing that other pieces of the company
have, as to date, it's not a revenue generator. As a result, there
will still be an unfair share of outstanding bugs.

I read about a site on John Chow today called http://www.43marks.com - its like iGoogle but better cuz you can add you own bookmarks and the bookmarks can be websites not just gadgets and RSS feeds although you can upload your favorite RSS feeds too. Its free and totally customizable. Plus you don’t have to login to see your bookmars and RSS feeds

Where is the canvas button? I've been trying to get canvas mode to work for a long time.
