I'm going to MWSF again. It is always a blast. I do understand your sentiment. It is because Apple has been so successful. It used to be so exciting waiting for a new laptop because the current crop was so underpowered with small displays that we hungered for a powerful machine. Now we have 17 inch displays, dual core processors, multiple gigabytes of RAM and 200GB or larger disks. The hard drive on my first two or three laptops had less capacity than the VRAM on my current one.

There is still room for improving software. A much enhanced Keynote, Pages, Numbers, Applescript Studio, etc. would do more for my productivity now than an improved laptop.
