louisgray.com: louisgray.com: Has FriendFeed's Comment Activity Eclipsed Native Conversations?

Louis, did you check to see if there were also comments on Google Shared items, social bookmarking feeds, etc?

Using LouisGray.com is hardly a representative sample is it? Given that most people know you for FriendFeed evangelism.

I think this is great, it shows that Louis has shifted his blog interaction to a more personal space. @JNathan I don't think it matters that the interaction is through FriendFeed and of course this isn't representative of the whole web, but neither is the audience for this blog.

I'd be interested in what your guess would be as to when the trend will totally shift and blog comments will be the exception.

Blog comments are here to stay.. most people still arent on the FF train. The uber tech bloggers like Scoble might believe that blog comments are dead because their readers are the 1% that use Friendfeed more than anything and thus comment on FF rather than blogs.

How do you put the Friendfeed comments bar on your blog?
  • Louis Gray · 1 year ago
Paul, it depends which blog engine you use. I use Blogger, and there are also solutions for Wordpress and TypePad.

    Here's a how-to for Blogger and WordPress.
