FTC Disclosures Made Simple For Bloggers With Conflicts
Sure, I'm more than just a little biased against Google Reader... I can admit that. But under no circumstances do I see it proper to address any product with the Google stamp on it as being by a "Small Team"... because it isn't. I'm not interested in how many active full timers are on the "Reader Team", I'm more interested in the bottomless pool of talent that Google had to pick from and the global ocean of infrastructure at their disposal. Google Reader is housed on one of the biggest, most expensive set-ups in the world (which damn near spans the world, to boot) ... nothing about them or any of their products is "Small Team". Please, let's try and reserve that label for those of us who really are on a small team, with small budgets, who need the occasional forgiveness. And when it comes to Google and something they have seen fit to bring out of the "labs" (Google's version of "beta"), it's more than okay to hammer them into oblivion for not being able to perform simple math (see how easy I just did). No need to forgive them for anything, hammer, hammer, hammer. And that's okay... corporations of that size will only improve under those conditions. So it boils down to a matter of do you want it to get better or don't you? If so, unleash a shit storm. If not, tell them their small team does a great job 99% of the time. ;)
People love their Google (note: clearly I'm not "people" in this context).
