Love it. Wish they would develop something for Chrome and also more importantly for mobile users.

Re: Feedly Brings New Social Experience to Start Page, Leveraging RSS

Excellent analysis and description..sending it to everyone I know.. Looks like AP may soon comes up with another trouble if this "magazine style content sharing platform" becomes famous.

Re: Feedly Brings New Social Experience to Start Page, Leveraging RSS

I love how my post ties in with my favourite chocolate bar. Regardless, I also think Feedly and other similar services are fantastic, my only complaint is that they all are tied int GR. Yes, GR is the 800 lb gorilla, but I wish things were more open and flexible.

I live in FeedDemon and I'm no't likely to give it up. FeedDemon syncs with NewsGatorOnline ... so why not build hooks into that and Bloglines. Wouldn't that build a larger feed and information ecosystem?

Re: Feedly Brings New Social Experience to Start Page, Leveraging RSS

I have been searching for a better way to handle my feeds and this seems to be it. The fact that it behaves based on what I seem to like is probably the biggest feature for me. I have several feeds in Google Reader that I will probably never get to.

Re: Feedly Brings New Social Experience to Start Page, Leveraging RSS

Thank you for taking the time to right such a detailed review!

As usual, there is a great parallel conversation happening on friendfeed:
http://friendfeed.com/e/78a...

@kenlefeb: Here is a tip: if you are a big annotator, try the ALT+CLICK on an image to capture images.

Re: Feedly Brings New Social Experience to Start Page, Leveraging RSS

Thanks, Louis! This is a great find!

I'm a huge annotator, and Google Reader notes just doesn't cut it for me! I like to share a lot, but I don't like to just forward stuff without adding some value to it, so I'm looking forward to seeing how Feedly fits into my routine...

Re: Feedly Brings New Social Experience to Start Page, Leveraging RSS

The look is slick!

Re: Feedly Brings New Social Experience to Start Page, Leveraging RSS

This is excellent. And it is super-fast. I am impressed. Plus, even with all the stuff you covered here, I am suspecting there are a bunch of easter eggs still waiting to be found. Thanks for breaking this!

Re: Feedly Brings New Social Experience to Start Page, Leveraging RSS

Louis, Feedly looks like a very interesting and useful service. The ability to discover new feeds and content based on one's reading habits stand out for me.

I just don't know where one can find the time to do all this, plus FriendFeed, plus Twitter, plus whatever else.

When I visited the Feedly site, my first question was, "Where am I going to find the time to properly check this out?"

Without careful time management, online social interaction can easily become an all-consuming activity, at the expense of other very important 3D life activities.

Re: Feedly Brings New Social Experience to Start Page, Leveraging RSS

Fantastic!
