He must be on Techmeme *wink*) everything I have heard from bloggers using Disqus has said the same level of response.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Yes, any good start-up would do everything they can, but many of them don't. The standouts definitely go out of their way, even for the most bizarre installs, not only because it's good for keeping customers, but also because it helps them in the long run. But it was a big improvement for me, away from the desktop app I was using, which got overloaded by my posting volume. Also, the FTP publishing enabled writing without server-side scripting, unlike TypePad, and I believe Wordpress, so it was good.
