Wow, I'm new to FriendFeed (I've only used it for a few weeks now), and there are some great suggestions here. I'm sure that some more interesting ideas will appear over time, as more people hop on the FriendFeed bandwagon.

All the functions mentioned are reasons to love friendfeed.

I love especially "17) Go straight to the fire-hose. Use FriendFeed as a social media search engine." It is extremely useful when I am writing a blog post and I want to find other relevant articles to send my readers to and find other people who are interested in the same subject.
