    Great ideas, particularly points 2 & 3.

    While I want to share my connections with others, as that's the whole point of networking, there are times when I want to be able to hide individual connections - eg, so my boss doesn't see a recruiter in my list.

    Conversely, there are times where I'm willing to connect with someone but don't want to give them free range on my connections - eg, a financial advisor or recruiter who might hassle my contacts.
